Content includes
character building activities, love of country, good citizenship, respect
for one’s cultural heritage.
Social Studies for Grades 4 to 6
Content includes geographical features of the Philippines as a part of Asia
and the world; the natural and human resources, leading industries and products,
tourist spots, and historical places in each region in the country.
• The content includes the study of whole numbers,basic
facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, basic concepts
of geometry, fractions, decimals, metric measurements, the use of money and
problem solving involving the concepts mentioned.
• For Grades 3 to 4, the content includes ratio, proportion and percent,
area and volume of polygons and prisms.
• For Grades 5 to 6, the content also includes integers and introduction
to Algebra.
• Mathematics classes are designed to encourage learners to learn through
manipulative and interactive activities.
• Enables the child to express his feelings , imagination, and ideas
• Content includes basic body movement, games, and musical skills and
art concepts.
Values Education
Through stories of modern day and biblical heroes, values like honesty, hard
work, obedience, personal relationship with God and life skills like problem
solving, interpersonal skills, creative thinking will be taught once a week,
but their analysis and application shall be integrated in all learning areas.
